FOREST GROVE LIONS CLUB
COMMUNITY SERVICE
We work to make our corner of the world a better place to live.
STUDENT VISION AND HEARING SCREENINGS
Oregon law mandates annual hearing and vision testing of all elementary students. Since the mandate is unfunded, Oregon Lions Clubs take on this task at no cost to the public.
During the past year, Forest Grove Lions screened approximately 115 elementary school children to detect vision deficiencies and more than 200 students for hearing loss. Students found in need of further examination and care are referred to professional providers.
.
DARREL BRADY LIONS GARDEN
Lion Fred Marble sets a sprinkler for the watering system in the downtown Forest Grove community flower garden built by Forest Grove Lions.
The garden is named for Lion Darrel Brady who spends many hours planning, tending and watering his namesake.
Club members replant and share in continuous maintenance of the garden throughout the growing season each year.
